Dr. Mark Farmer, Sr., Ph.D. - Senior Technical Consultant

  • Received his doctorate from Auburn University
  • Provides field support in the U.S. and abroad, including helping clients establish a sound nutritional program tied to both business and performance goals
  • Has an extensive layer, broiler and turkey background along with a strong network of key technical contacts in these industries
  • Provides nutritional and technical support for game bird producers in North America. A true sportsman, Dr. Farmer brings a passion and commitment to this rapidly growing industry and sport that he treasures
  • Assists leading poultry universities across the country to identify and coordinate on-going poultry research projects for Ridley Inc.

James (Jim) Poock - Poultry Specialist - Midwestern U.S. Emphasis

  • 25 years of experience in all aspects of the poultry industry
  • Active in Iowa and Wisconsin Poultry Associations and has received several poultry industry awards
  • Utilizes the Ridley Feed Management System to help producers execute wise nutritional decisions
  • Using the Ridley Model, helps clients evaluate and utilize alternative ingredients that can result in significant savings in formulation costs while maintaining top performance

Steve Riggs - Poultry Specialist - California/Pacific Northwest Emphasis

  • B.S. degree in Poultry Science from California Polytechnic State University
  • Extensive live production experience working with poultry integrators (including layers, broilers and turkeys)
  • Effectively utilizes the Ridley Feed Management System and Ridley Poultry Model to integrate business goals into a sound nutritional program for clients

Patrick Biggs, PhD - Formulation & Technical Consultant

  • Received his doctorate in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois in 2006 under the supervision of Dr. Carl Parsons.
  • His PhD dissertation centered on the effects of various feed additives on growth performance, nutrient utilization and cecal microbial populations in broiler chicks.
  • His MS thesis focused on molting layers and various non-feed withdrawal options for commercial layers.
  • His responsibilities include premix formulation and micro-ingredient evaluation and selection for Ridley Feed Ingredients.
  • Provides field support in the U.S.and Canada while working with clients using the Ridley Poultry Model and Econometrics to help develop sound nutritional programs tied to both performance and egg economic goals.
  • Patrick enjoys remodeling projects and woodworking as a hobby.
