Celebrating 170 combined Years of Service

Ridley Feed Ingredients would like to recognize Tom Corrigan for his 40 Years of Service. His career began at the Mendota Facility on March 8, 1970 just two weeks after his release from the Armed Services. He began working as a bagger on the bagging line and has held various positions since within the plant.

Currently, Tom is a pre-batcher in our Form Fill & Seal Department and started there as our lone FF&S employee in 1990 when this product line was first developed. Through his dedication and training of others, our Form Fill & Seal Department has grown from its original 8 products to now over 50 products that we currently produce.

Tom has seen many positive changes in the Mendota Facility throughout his career here including the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. He's participated in our Lean launch teams and has shown the eagerness to help make the Lean transformation. Tom says "It forces us to change our ways of thinking and to continuously improve our performance." Also, he has been impressed with the changes over time through automation, specifically the use of Robotics.

Tom is active in the community where he serves as the Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis Coach for Mendota High School. He has been involved with these teams since the mid 1980's and became their full time coach in 1998.

We congratulate and thank Tom for his many years of loyal service and for his participation in coaching and developing the youth of our community.
